Gospel Transformation Through the Local Church

Honduras, traditionally a predominantly Catholic nation, has experienced a substantial increase in Protestant Christianity in recent decades. This growth has been fueled by the rise of various denominations such as Evangelicals, Pentecostals, and Seventh-day Adventists, as well as the involvement of international missions and humanitarian organizations.

Many of these international organizations have played a crucial role in the expansion of Protestant Christianity in Honduras and have made a significant impact on the lives of many Hondurans. However, despite these successes, the outreach to rural communities remains a challenge.

Moreover, while countless missions organizations and parachurch ministries have done incredible work in alleviating poverty and evangelizing communities with the good news of Jesus Christ, too few place the local church at the heart of their developmental strategies, leaving people inspired but hungry for more.

A Bold Collaborative Strategy for Planting Churches

99 Farmers has developed a robust church planting strategy that capitalizes on the unique strengths of each partner involved. This collaborative approach enables the sharing of resources, knowledge, and expertise, ultimately resulting in a more effective and sustainable method for establishing and nurturing new church developments in agricultural and rural communities throughout Honduras.

Central to this partnership is a shared commitment to core theological beliefs and a unified vision of what a thriving local church should look like. These shared convictions foster a spirit of trust and accountability as we work together to cultivate Christ-centered communities of faith.
