At 99 Farmers, we serve in rural communities where denominational categories are often unfamiliar and unhelpful. Our mission compels us toward theological clarity, not division. We are committed to unity in the Gospel, rooted in the historic Christian faith, and shaped by the Reformed tradition.
We joyfully collaborate with churches and believers from a variety of backgrounds, holding fast to what is essential while pursuing a spirit of shared mission. While our programs are open and invitational, our leadership and organizational culture reflect a confessional alignment with the Reformed tradition—particularly as expressed in documents such as the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Heidelberg Catechism. This grounding provides clarity without rigidity and conviction without unnecessary barriers.
We affirm the following biblical convictions:
We believe the Bible, comprising the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible Word of God, and the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are coequal in power, glory, and attributes.
We believe that God created the world out of nothing and continues to uphold and govern all things according to His sovereign will.
We believe that humanity, originally created in the image of God, fell into sin through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, resulting in a broken relationship with God and the corruption of human nature.
We believe that Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became fully human while remaining fully divine, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a substitute for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended to heaven, where He now intercedes for His people.
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone. We affirm that God, in His sovereign grace, predestines individuals to eternal life and calls them to faith in Jesus Christ, who has accomplished their redemption through His life, death, and resurrection.
Justification: We believe that believers are justified by faith alone in Christ, through the imputation of His righteousness, apart from any merit or works.
We believe that believers are progressively sanctified, growing in holiness and conformity to Christ, through the work of the Holy Spirit and the means of grace, such as the preaching of God’s Word, prayer, the study of Scripture, and participation in the sacraments.
We believe that the universal Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all true believers, and that local churches are visible expressions of this body. We affirm the importance of the preaching of the Word, the administration of the sacraments, and the exercise of church discipline in the life of the church.
We believe that there are two sacraments instituted by Christ: baptism and the Lord’s Supper, which serve as signs and seals of God’s covenant promises and means of grace for believers.
We believe that Jesus Christ will return in glory to judge the living and the dead, and that believers will enjoy eternal life in God’s presence, while unbelievers will suffer eternal punishment.
We believe that God is sovereign over all things, and that He works all things together for the good of His people and the glory of His name, in accordance with His eternal plan.
